Who Pushed The Button?

by Michelle
(Lakewood, CO, USA)

My 5 year-old nephew Brody is always afraid of being in the car if it runs out of gas. He was riding in Grandpas truck one day and Grandpa told him if the car stopped working you push this button (the hazard button). And showed him what the button looked like.

The next day his other Auntie came to his house in a different car than the one she is usually driving.
Brody looks up at her and ask "Auntie where is your other car?" She responds telling him "It broke down and is getting fixed."
Brody responded by asking her "Who pushed the button?"

He told her someone had to have pushed the button if it's not working anymore. He had gotten confused what Grandpa had told him to push it "when" it stopped working, and to push it to make it stop working!
